Welcome to 788 Mount Shadforth Road, Denmark, an impressive three-bedroom, two-bathroom residence in WA's stunning South West, surrounded by rolling pasture, large farms and acres upon acres of forest.
Set upon just under 25 acres of scenic and tranquil acreage on the north side of Mount Shadforth, this incredible property provides the ultimate tree change escape. The home itself has been perfectly positioned to take in the magnificent treetop views, with a large front, elevated deck offering sun-drenched views across to the Stirling Ranges some 70km away.
Operating as an award-winning holiday retreat for the past 12 years, incoming owners might choose to continue it as a commercial endeavour or envision the property as their next home away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The master bedroom lives up to the haven theme of the home, where you will be sure to love its high ceiling, perfectly positioned windows to capitalize on the lush green surrounds and its stylish, modern ensuite has a freestanding black bath, perfectly positioned under a large window to unwind, and enjoy the views.
The main living area of the home features soaring timber-lined ceilings, timber flooring and a wood fired heater for those chilly winter nights. French doors open to the massive jarrah deck with beautiful sheoak balustrade. The gorgeous open plan kitchen overlooks the living area and is equipped with timber cabinetry that includes an abundance of drawers and cupboards, plenty of bench space and stainless-steel appliances. The large walk-in pantry provides perfect space. Beautiful furniture and artwork adorn the home, which are available for purchase to allow for a seamless transition for its new owners.
One of only a handful of its size in the area, the property is situated about 8km from the Denmark township and is surrounded by large farms. Twenty acres of iconic forest envelope the property with some trees spanning six metres in girth, while others are estimated to be more than 300 years old. The current owners consider themselves as 'custodians' of the forest, with this beautiful property serving as a habitat for a multitude of native flora and fauna.
The owners have spent considerable time cultivating it into a truly special residence, with something for everyone - from couples to families. It is home to the largest bike pump track of any holiday home in WA, and children will be sure to spend countless hours on the trampoline and hurricane swing. There is also a large dam on the property. Denmark itself has much to explore from its iconic beaches such as Greens Pool and Lights Beach to wineries, bushwalking, river activities, and abundant local produce.
As an investment, this property rents at $495 per night off peak, and up to $895 during peak periods. Occupancy is around 80 per cent, with financials available to genuine prospective buyers. The house has an internal storage room which can be used by the house cleaners and owners who might continue treating it as a holiday home.

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.
Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
