You will be charmed by this lovely 3 bedroom 1 bathroom circa-1969-built home and the spacious 748sqm (approx.) block it so comfortably sits on on. It also happens to fall within the suburb’s exciting R20/50 re-zoning area, affording you duplex-subdivision possibilities at the very same time.
Double driveway gates secure the front yard and tiled entry verandah, as well as a large single side carport with drive-through access to the rear for extra safe parking. Also within the backyard are two huge sheds for external storage, as well as a private patio-entertaining deck with a ceiling fan, overlooking a sunken courtyard and a massive backyard-lawn area where a swimming pool definitely wouldn’t look out of place down the track, if you decide to keep this generous land holding as it is.
Internally, high ceilings and solid wooden floorboards help preserve this property’s original character of yesteryear. A front lounge room caters for all seasons through its ceiling fan, split-system air-conditioning unit and gas bayonet.
A separate, yet central, open-plan dining and kitchen area features a single storage pantry, tiled splashbacks, over-head and under-bench cupboards, a Westinghouse stainless-steel range hood and a Chef gas-upright cooker for good measure. The front two bedrooms have split-system air-conditioning units and ceiling fans as well – a large light-filled master and a spacious second bedroom with plenty of natural morning sunshine filtering in. Like the second bedroom, the third bedroom is carpeted – and has its own ceiling fan, too.

The suburb of Lockridge derives its name from a Swan valley property owned by the Hamersley family. The Hamersley's, a prominent colonial family owned a number of properties, and resided at Pyrton in what is now Eden Hill. Part of the Lockridge land became Pyrton Estate which the government developed for soldier settlement in the 1920's. The residential development in Lockridge was commenced by the State Housing Commission in 1969 when it purchased 240 acres for the purpose.
Lockridge is in the City of Swan local government area. Local amenities include Rosher Park, Kiara College and Lockridge Primary School, and the Alice Daveron Community Centre.
