Absolutely Spectacular Ocean VIews!

Permanent, unparalleled jaw dropping ocean views are to die for from this Beach House perched high above the river mouth. Where else in WA can you watch a sunrise over the ocean every morning, and a sunset while playing Golf in the late afternoon? This home is designed to maximize the views, with plenty of light flooding through the home. It almost feels like the observer is drawn towards the ocean.

It is 1 of only 8 properties that enjoy this spectacular location on Cygnet Crescent with real world class views that can never be built out. It is located opposite a bush reserve and just a short stroll to the beach, river and the Colourpatch Cafe. The cliché, "location, location, location" has never been truer for this property. I would even say this property with its views is among the very best in South Western Australia.

Built in 2010 by Carlon Building Company the home has clean simple lines and finishes to minimise maintenance and maximise relaxed living. On the ground floor a spacious open plan living dining kitchen area, all with Tassie Oak floors and soaring ceilings, enjoy the magnificent ocean views that come alive with kite surfers in the summer and whales in the winter. Also on this level there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all with tiled floors to once again minimise maintenance and maximise relaxed living. On a mezzanine level, the open plan study area overlooks the living space and vista of waves rolling on to the beach through the highlight windows facing east. It also has river views to the North West. A third dormer style bedroom with tiled floor is accessed from this level.

The spaciously bigger than normal double garage, already with windows and side entrance, is designed to allow a conversion if required for extra accommodation. Simple low maintenance landscaping has been created to allow for easy lock up and leave purposes. Yes, this is a fabulous beach house that allows more time to enjoy the spectacular views whilst having a relaxed lifestyle for permanent living or holidays. The owner is proud to say that no pesticides were ever used in the gardens, as a healthy environment is important to them.

If you are in the market for a beach house with the very best uncompromising views, views which will remain forever, then please come and make an appointment to see for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Augusta overview

The most south westerly town in the state, Augusta was named by Gov. Sir James Stirling in May 1830. Until 2003 it was thought the name honoured Princess Augusta Sophia, second daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. In 2003 the book "James Stirling - Admiral and Founding Governor of Western Australia" a letter by James Turner is referred to which states "a town is purposed to be built named Augusta, County of Sussex, in compliment to the Duke". Princess Augusta Sophia died unmarried, and the "Duke" is most likely the Duke of Sussex, Augustus Frederick (Hanover), the 6th son of George III. He married Lady Augusta Murray in 1793, but the marriage was deemed a violation of the Royal Marriage Act, and was declared null and void in 1794. Lady Augusta Murray is most likely the person after whom Augusta is named.

Life in Augusta

Augusta is a town on the south west coast of WA and was predominately a tourist town up until the late 1990s when many people chose to retired to the region. The town is known for its major attractions such as Cape Leeuwin "where two oceans meet" and its impressive lighthouse. Augusta is dependent on professional fishing, timber and tourism. There is a local shopping centre in the area and two primary schools - Augusta Primary School and Karridale Primary School, with the closest secondary school Margaret River Senior High School.
