She's no beauty queen...yet!

Ready for a new era, this two bedroom villa is certainly ready for a makeover. PS... an added potential incentive looms for the lucky buyer!

What you'll love about this villa is the position it's in, located at the rear of a boutique group of only 6 properties. With a rare double garage, two bedrooms, one bathroom, open plan living/dining area, decent sized kitchen, no common walls and an extra large private leafy courtyard that overlooks the common land to the River and parklands. All it needs is buyer who can see its true potential!

Now to that incentive! Currently there is a 1917sqm approx. parcel of land that has been left undeveloped on the riverfront section at the rear of the group. The new buyer has the rare opportunity of their share in the land, which could be sold/developed in the future.

Say yes to the address! With the Swan River/parklands and a cycle path literally on your door step, what more could you ask for! Follow the cycle path to the Maylands golf course, Tranby Tea Rooms, East Perth and more. Also with the bonus of being located in the Mount Lawley High School catchment.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
