Affordable riverside living

Living by the river is a dream for many and this charming two-bedroom, one-bathroom fulfils the fantasy and more. Not only are you metres from the Swan River and the Baigup Wetlands and riverside boardwalk, but you're also a short distance from the Maylands tourist precinct, Perth's CBD and the Perth Airport.

This seems almost too good to be true, especially at this price point and with so little maintenance required. Featuring good-sized rooms, separate spacious living and dining rooms and a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom across 74sqm of internal living space on one level, this is a great option for downsizers or professionals.

Since you're only a short distance from the Perth Airport and the Metronet, FIFOs will love the convenience of this location almost as much as the tranquil location. Given Edith Cowan University is only a few minutes away, this is a fantastic opportunity for students or those working at the Mt Lawley campus. Easy access to main arterial roads such as Guildford Road, Tonkin Highway and the Graham Farmer Freeway ensures you can be anywhere in the metropolitan area within 30 minutes.

Regardless of who lives here next, the paved patio in the fully-enclosed and private courtyard will be the makings of many future BBQs and get-togethers with family and friends.

Situated in a well-kept and small complex, this unit is move-in ready, so you can start enjoying this convenient location from the moment you arrive.

With such wide appeal, investors will find this one hard to resist. Please don't hesitate to contact John Caputo on 0433 158 384 to arrange a viewing today.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
