Champagne tastes; cleanskin budget!

What happens when you take a green title unit, gut it, re-build and extend it, and then spend a $bomb$ installing contemporary luxury finishes and green-friendly fixtures? Come and see.

Ready to elevate your life?

Miele. Kohler. A motorised pergola. And 6.5kw of Solar. Plus a 10kw battery. The typical accoutrements of prestige homes. The kind of indulgences most of us think of as being out of reach. But you’ll find them here. In a stunning and affordable near city home. Every room is a wonderland of quality bling. And ka-ching. Just when you think it’s going to end you turn a corner and wait - there’s more! The kitchen with its integrated appliances and superb handleless cabinets will leave you swooning. The extended ensuite and family bathrooms with their floor-to-ceiling rectified tiles and premium fixtures are heaven. The loos even have self-cleaning, deodorising, and heated seats (!). Then there’s the fabulous alfresco with its Somfy automated louvered pergola. Serious coin. Over capitalised? Absolutely. And not even close to replacement cost. It’s the equivalent of finding Camilla at the op shop. Score.

Location-wise, you’re in the pocket the locals fondly refer to as Minglewood. West of the railway line, Inglewood border. It’s 850m to Beaufort Street with its abundance of quality coffee and eating options, retail outlets & supermarkets. 400m in the opposite direction and you’ve got the Maylands train station, popular newbie Brixton Yard, and the start of the Maylands social precinct. 650m down Coode Street itself you’ll hit Shearn Park - a hit with doggo owners. Did we mention it’s in the Inglewood Primary and Mount Lawley SHS catchments too? Homestyle and lifestyle in a gloriously pimped-up package. Bliss.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
