Lifestyle Meets Heritage

This impressive Federation residence with a superb guest suite is positioned behind a white picket fence in one of the most sought after locations in the town of Narrogin. Timeless standard roses lead to a wide timber decked verandah with decorative posts. A classic glass panel door opens to an elegant entry with high ceilings, ceiling rose and jarrah floorboards with high profile skirting. The gorgeous Circa 1920 features continue to the master bedroom and to the equally large second bedroom. Both bedrooms have an original fireplace and the master bedroom has built in wardrobes. Classic character flows through to the lounge room. The eye-catching timber mantle frames a slow combustion fire and compliments the wood floors and ornate cornices. There is a well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry. The lounge room leads to a light-filled delightful atrium with floor to ceiling glass windows and sliding doors. To one side, an extra room serves as a music room but is suitable for an additional bedroom. Looking for a new bathroom with a touch of luxury? The large spa bath is just what you need for a little extra relaxation at the end of the day. The spa is accompanied by a shower, quality cabinetry and floor to ceiling tiles. Look at the guest suite. Family and friends will thoroughly enjoy the comfort and convenience of the queensize bed, 700mm upright stainless steel bi-energy stove, sink, fridge recess, large walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite.
With night lighting over the garden, the gable roof outdoor entertaining area is a perfect place for large group entertaining or for quiet conversation with a glass of wine. It is surrounded by a manicured lawn and beautifully landscaped gardens with retaining walls and raised garden beds. Then there is the shed! Accessed from the rear lane way, the 16 meter x 9 meter shed with 3 phase power has an office and plenty of room for shelving after you have securely parked your vehicles.

• Two additional wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners

Narrogin overview

The townsite of Narrogin is located in the great southern agricultural region, 192 km south east of Perth and 32 km east north east of Williams. It is located on the Great Southern Railway, and when this line was opened in 1889, Narrogin was one of the original stopping places. The railway line was a private line, and the Company that built the line declared a private townsite here in 1891. The railway was purchased by the Government in 1896, and in 1897 Narrogin was gazetted as a government townsite.

Narrogin is an Aboriginal name, having been first recorded as "Narroging" for a pool in this area in 1869. The meaning of the name is uncertain, various sources recording it as "bat camp", "plenty of everything" or derived from "gnargagin" which means "place of water".
