Drive up to the front of the property and enjoy parking space on the driveway, accessing all the way through to your backyard. The block here is large, and zoned R20/35 – suggesting subdivision potential, subject to council approval. There are lovely trees in the front yard that provide shelter and a bit of privacy, and the home has excellent windows that provide a great vantage over the street and draw natural light inside.

Stepping inside the home you are greeted with the large semi-open plan living room in front of you to your right, a hallway stretching out to your left and the rest of the home, and the dining and kitchen area directly in front of you – with a glass sliding door that leads to the backyard visible too. Tiled flooring, ducted evaporative air conditioning (and a split cycle system in the lounge room!), and maneuverable ceiling lights add comfort and flexibility to the home. There’s a handy access point to the electrical circuit box in the corner of the living room, and a half-wall works to separate the living room from the dining area – helping to distinguish specific zones of the house for you!

The kitchen is constructed around a general U-shape, with plenty of cabinetry and cupboard space for storage and organisation. Above the sink is a window with views through to the backyard, and feature brown tile splashback above the kitchen benchtops helps make clean up simple. There is plenty of space for fridges and shelving too – open and flexible ready for you to organise your life however you’d like here. Adjacent the kitchen is a glass sliding door leading to the backyard.

All three bedrooms feature carpet flooring, windows that are well placed to draw in natural light, and a suite of powerpoints. The primary bedroom enjoys a feature light in the ceiling, as well as a TV & landline/internet point directly in the bedroom! The bathroom shines with full height tiling surrounding the whole bathroom – a lovely feature. There’s also a separate bath and shower, security screen and frosted window for ventilation, light and privacy, a mirrored wall cupboard and vanity with lots of storage space – all designed to help your morning routine. The toilet and laundry are separated, with plenty of space for a washing machine or storage however you see fit.

The backyard is another highlight of the home, with the block being a great size at 692 square metres of R20/35 zoning. There is a range of beautiful trees, some limestone retaining, and grass for pets to play in. The rear garden shed is a moderate size and has a power connection with an external powerpoint – an attractive feature. Whether you admire this backyard for its great family activity space or the subdivision potential (subject to council approval) – it is truly an excellent asset to walk across!

Lockridge overview

The suburb of Lockridge derives its name from a Swan valley property owned by the Hamersley family. The Hamersley's, a prominent colonial family owned a number of properties, and resided at Pyrton in what is now Eden Hill. Part of the Lockridge land became Pyrton Estate which the government developed for soldier settlement in the 1920's. The residential development in Lockridge was commenced by the State Housing Commission in 1969 when it purchased 240 acres for the purpose.
