Beach house style

Exclusive beachside Dunsborough - opportunities such as this are limited.
Imagine a home that could be so many things to so many people… a beachside hideaway, a family retreat, a place to build memories and grow families… this home has the versatility to fit the whole family and their friends. The house is mostly screened from the road by established garden and beautiful avocado trees with lush lawn and cottage style verandas providing the perfect retreat after a day at the beach. With 5 bedrooms and a study, 2 bathrooms and 2 living areas, including a massive upstairs living/games room this house can handle it all. Situated in a private cul-de-sac, so close to town and the beach, this home is perfectly located for a busy family or your holiday escape.
Be welcomed into the main living and dining area with new flooring and large windows viewing the front garden with modern venetian blinds for privacy. The kitchen overlooks the backyard and double French doors invite you through to the lovely alfresco and back garden. The huge master suite could be separate from the rest of the house, with its own entry door, providing options for independent dwelling. Two more bedrooms plus a study are on the ground floor, then traverse the stairs up to the expansive second living room with its own private balcony. Off this enormous room are two bedrooms with garden view windows.
The outdoor spaces are so pleasing, whether it's the large alfresco area with kitchen and cooking facilities or meandering through the magical garden searching for sun-ripened fruit and vegetables or enjoying the private outdoor shower after a trip to the beach. This property has practicalities covered with 4kW solar panels and a reticulated garden. Feeding the family is a breeze with 4 raised vegetable gardens with sweet potatoes, pumpkins, tomatoes plus a herb garden and an extensive list of established fruit trees such as citrus, stone fruit, apples, avocados and berries… the hard work has been done.

Dunsborough overview

The townsite of Dunsborough is located on the coast, 12 kilometres southeast of Cape Naturaliste and approximately 19 kilometres of Busselton. It was gazetted as a Townsite in 1879, but land for a townsite was set aside here in the late 1830's, and there is a recorded whale fishery at "Dunsbro" in 1850.

Dunsborough is located adjacent to Dunn Bay from which it derives its name. The bay is believed to have been named by Governor James Stirling , March 1830, whilst on the "Eagle" carrying out a survey of Geographe Bay. It is named after Captain Richard Dalling Dunn, under whom Stirling served on the "Hibernia"120 and the "Armide"38 in 1810-1811 (Stirling named a number of features in Western Australia after naval officers under whom he served or was associated with) When Dunsborough first appeared on a map in 1839 it was spelt "Dunnsbro" but the extra n appears to have disappeared by 1850, and the spelling of "bro" was amended to "borough"when the name was gazetted in 1879.
