There's a reason 'location, location, location' is a standard catch-cry in real estate, and this property proves it. The views from this beautiful Darlington block are simply stunning and capture the fruit tree-filled gardens below as well as the valley to the south. It's also close to town, with less than a 10 minute walk to cafes, sports facilities, and schools. So if your priority is the location of your new home, this one will fit the bill perfectly.
Constructed in the late 1950s and extended since, the large house offers plentiful space plus interesting textures and features such as timber accented everything, exposed brick walls, bay windows, and wonderful leadlighting. It is partway through another renovation, however, so you'll have to be willing to pick up where the owners have left off. If you happen to be a fan of rolling up your sleeves and applying some elbow grease, this gem could be polished up in no time flat, and ultimately see you with the renovation of your dreams in the best little spot in the hills.

While the house itself needs some work, you'll only need to step outside on the heavy lifting days to be reminded why you chose this spot. Be enchanted by lush gardens that have been established for many years. Green thumbs needn't start from scratch but simply enjoy the plants that already exist here- and add more of their own! Ponds and rock walls add that rustic touch and are in keeping with the natural Darlington surrounds. The big shed is also a handy feature, catering to those with a handful of toys to store, or the resident handyperson, artist, or mechanic. Set on a block of over half an acre, this property is a sought-after size in a sought-after location, so don't overlook it.
Bring your renovation project to life.

The name "Darlington" is derived from adding the English suffix "ton", meaning "town" to the name of the range in the area - Darling Range which was first named "General Darling Range". The name was first used by Dr Alfred Waylen who established the "Darlington Vineyard" here in 1883-4.
Darlington remains one of the few locations in the Perth hills with an early 20th century village ambience. It is known for its vibrant community with seemingly as many committees and groups as it has residents. The suburb has a local general store however residents rely on the the facilities at Midland and Mundaring which are close by. There are also various primary and secondary schools in the area.
