Vivacious and eclectic

The Perth Property Co. is thrilled to present 46A Tenth Avenue, Maylands. A generously proportioned 1930s duplex half that boasts a vivacious personality and an eclectic spark, perched at the peak of Tenth Avenue on an easy-care 474sqm lot with glimpses of the City skyline.

Being within walking distance to the Eighth Avenue precinct and train station, Beaufort Street and Inglewood night markets, plus within the Inglewood Primary and Mt Lawley High catchments, this historic abode offers the chance for a vibrant and fulfilling family lifestyle.

Enticed inwards by the archetypical wrap around verandah and familiar silhouette, you find yourself enveloped within a warm and welcoming ambience that beckons you to explore. You'll discover traditional and modern features on display at Tenth Avenue, like the working fireplace with pot belly, the timber floors, high ceilings, stained glass windows, modern kitchen, and the retractable cinema screen with projector in the theatre room.

A good-sized master bedroom with RC air-conditioning greets you at the front of the home, its big and provides views to the city. Along the vast hallway you find the second and third bedrooms, both equally large, both with RC air-conditioning and the second with built-in robes.

Following on from the bedrooms is the theatre or lounge room. Again, like the bedrooms, this space is large, and boasts a fireplace, RC air-conditioning and the retractable theatre screen with projector. The theatre plus bedrooms one and two all have their own access to the verandah.

At the end of the hall is a classically styled bathroom with modern attributes. There is a claw foot bath and frameless open shower, feature floor tiling and subway wall tiles, plus vanity and WC. From here you enter the kitchen-diner cleverly tucked away at the rear of the home.

The kitchen boasts stone benchtops, under bench oven, gas cooktop, ample bench and cupboard space, plus an integrated dishwasher. Off the kitchen is a butler's pantry with a good-sized laundry and access to the rear private yard via French doors. There is an outdoor shower with hot/cold water and a second WC.

Access to the front verandah or patio and backyard can be obtained via the dining space also.

Turning to the external qualities and this abode delivers here too. Offering double carport parking with remote gates access, along with a security pedestrian gate, and a large under croft storage area. The verandah runs along the side of the home towards the dining room. In the backyard, along with the shower and WC, is a terraced garden with cubby, all housed on a superb 474sqm two lot strata plan with no fees.

This home is truly a marvel. Literally moments from the heart of everything, you really must make time to view all that it has to offer, call Nadija 0417 903 990 or Dan 0422 422 216 now.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
