The home presents well, with a classic brick and tile construction and the house itself set back from the road. Large windows funnel natural light into the home, and there's a concrete driveway with plenty of parking spaces. You also have the option of parking inside the roller door lockup single car garage, or opening the side gate and driving through to the backyard.

Stepping inside the property, there are three excellent bedrooms to enjoy, all with carpet, built in robes and ceiling fans. The main bedroom is a good size and enjoys a wide window that overlooks your backyard. Throughout the kitchen, bathroom, dining and hallway spaces there is a brilliantly retro tile feature. Choose to keep this lovely legacy, or replace with your own. The kitchen is built around a U-shaped benchtop with enough space for meal preparation and storage both under-bench, and wall mounted. The gas freestanding oven is not brand new but having the gas connection is a solid feature itself!

The dining space is connected straight to the kitchen with powerpoints, a ceiling fan and a large window that looks over the front yard towards the street. The living space is separate - a nice touch - with vibrant blue carpet flooring, a split cycle air conditioner and also a wood combustion heater. The living space also enjoys a glass sliding door connecting straight to the rear sleepout and backyard areas, and massive windows with a street front aspect. A prime feature of this home is the windows - which are placed thoughtfully to draw natural light and warmth (when needed) into the property - a great example of this is the window adjacent the front door which spreads light through to the passageway, tickling both the living and dining/kitchen areas!

The rear sleepout is a massive size and is perfect for converting to a new master bedroom and ensuite, a rear hobby space or powered workshop, or even a massive living area for entertaining!

Not only does this property have great features but it is also located in a central location close to shops, schools, parks and more. It has easy access on to Roe Highway and close connection to Tonkin Highway to both the southern and northern suburbs. Perth CBD is a quick 20-something minutes away, and Perth Airport even less.

Lockridge overview

The suburb of Lockridge derives its name from a Swan valley property owned by the Hamersley family. The Hamersley's, a prominent colonial family owned a number of properties, and resided at Pyrton in what is now Eden Hill. Part of the Lockridge land became Pyrton Estate which the government developed for soldier settlement in the 1920's. The residential development in Lockridge was commenced by the State Housing Commission in 1969 when it purchased 240 acres for the purpose.
