Under Offer

Tucked away on Waterfall Road, Forrestfield this home is blissfully peaceful and on the doorstep of Western Australia's precious Lesmurdie Falls National Park. It provides a remarkably rare chance to snatch up a nature lover's slice of idyllic paradise.

Harness the rawness and beauty of this breathtaking 1.2 hectares of earth, and ponder the seeming impossibility of being just 30 minutes from Perth CBD, located to Lesmurdie Falls showstopper waterfall and nearby there's great walking trails which tourists flock from everywhere to experience.

This is a property suitable for a buyer looking for a stunning foothills location, someone with vision who is prepared to remodel to make it their own. There is no doubt the house is ready for some renewal, this is about the whole package. A good-sized home with ample living space inclusive of both a separate lounge room and freestanding games room as well as generous bedroom sizes, this home lends itself to intergenerational living situations.

Lesmurdie Brook meanders through the Hills and ebbs and flows through into this property, mother nature provides a mini cascading waterfall, which is at its liveliest during the winter/spring months. Imagine having your own waterfall! You may be spoilt with a sighting of the big old grey Roo who casually lounges under the shady trees in the summer months, this is his home too. Alternative self-sufficient lifestyle seekers will be impressed by the ample fruit producing orchard area which provides a nice variety of fruits, there's also bee hives and beautiful thriving pistachio patch, there is plenty of room to grow your own everything and have your own chook pen and compost set up. A bore is more than handy for irrigating parts of the property and the property has ample tanks as it is not connected to mains water. The friendly peahen flock prance around freely, and share the space with a variety of birdlife, quendas and possums. You'll see multiple handy structures housing machinery and tools for taking care of this land. This is a unique place of tranquility and calmness, a beautiful place for reflection.

My own frequent childhood visits, along with many of my friends who grew up in the Foothills, included many adventures in and around the Falls. It really is a natural treasure trove of activities for kids big and small - things like catching tadpoles, sunbaking on the rocks, watching the kangaroos, hiking the trails, bird and animal watching and picnicking and splashing around. No devices are required. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you may have already been lured to the beauty of Lesmurdie Falls and enjoyed everything it has to offer, anytime is a good time time to revisit.

This property offers a special tranquil sanctuary where you and your family can thrive, well away from busy everyday chaos. Located within the Kalamunda Shire and under 10minutes to the airport, 30minutes to the City and a short drive to every amenity you could need, it's offers a perfect balance.

Forrestfield overview

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.

Life in Forrestfield

Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the  Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
