This is indeed a beautiful spot to live, and it's location is the 'jewel in the crown' of this sought after suburb.
The revival of this circa 1920's cottage is lovely, turning it from a simple 2 bed, 1 bath property to a 3 bed, 2 bath home with open plan living, kitchen & dining.
Despite all the changes, the home still retains its original homely comfort.
The homes' facade is really appealing, enclosed by a brick and Iron wall, the gardens and front porch certainly add to the charm. In the original part of the house, there are 3 good-sized bedrooms, (the master with ensuite bathroom and walk-in robe) and a family bathroom with tub. The open plan extension has designated spaces for living, meals and a really good kitchen and laundry. The informal area leads out to a lovely shady back verandah and the pretty gardens that are in keeping with the homes character.
While some renovations create a 'shmick' sterile environment, this modernization has resulted in a home that combines spaciousness with an element that is distinctly cosy and comfortable, everything that the majority of us desire in a home.

THE AGENTS COMMENT
This is a rather special location and despite its riverside location and proximity to the city, it's still really affordable.
Investing in this characterful 3 Bed, 2 Bath home would be a great move.

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
