Ocean Front Gem!

Located a mere 90m from the beach of the crystal clear waters of Flinders Bay this has to be one of best locations beach lovers could wish for. Set on a good sized 971m2 block this circa 1979 three bedroom, two bathroom home has had only one owner. The home is being reluctantly offered for sale for the first time in 45 years having been the current owners holiday base for that time. This is very understandable given the spectacular ocean views across the Old Flinders Settlement and beyond to the the islands.

The home is set at the rear of the natural landscaped block and has excellent privacy from the road afforded by Peppi trees whilst at the rear of the property is a bush reserve which provides the ultimate private courtyard entertainment area.

This property provides a fabulous holiday base with enormous potential to extend it into a permanent home. If you are looking for a very special location close to the beach with sensational ocean views and privacy don't delay viewing this property. Call us now to make an appointment for a private viewing.

Augusta overview

The most south westerly town in the state, Augusta was named by Gov. Sir James Stirling in May 1830. Until 2003 it was thought the name honoured Princess Augusta Sophia, second daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. In 2003 the book "James Stirling - Admiral and Founding Governor of Western Australia" a letter by James Turner is referred to which states "a town is purposed to be built named Augusta, County of Sussex, in compliment to the Duke". Princess Augusta Sophia died unmarried, and the "Duke" is most likely the Duke of Sussex, Augustus Frederick (Hanover), the 6th son of George III. He married Lady Augusta Murray in 1793, but the marriage was deemed a violation of the Royal Marriage Act, and was declared null and void in 1794. Lady Augusta Murray is most likely the person after whom Augusta is named.

There is a local shopping centre in the area and two primary schools - Augusta Primary School and Karridale Primary School, with the closest secondary school Margaret River Senior High School.
