What we love
Are the sensual sea breezes, the privacy, the parking and the stunning ocean views that this charming and protected 3 bedroom 2 bathroom coastal charmer offers, in a street that is whisper-quiet, very tightly-held and sits just around the corner from the iconic Mettams Pool – and the beautiful golden beaches that surround it either side. Hop, skip or jump to the surf and sand from here, where a welcoming Bali-inspired living space extends outdoors to an oasis of a front yard, where most of your entertaining will be done.
The home has more-or-less been completely renovated and boasts a massive patio – or multi-vehicle carport – at the rear, preceding a “tradesman’s dream” of a remote-controlled lock-up three-car garage with work benches, numerous power points, 3 phase power, its own sub board and plenty of space for tools. There is also option to keep the central car hoist. Upstairs, a spacious third bedroom-come-retreat is the room that everybody in the family will want, carpeted, a high angled ceiling, split-system air-conditioning, enough room for a living area and study nook, a sea vista and magical sunsets from within and a lovely intimate balcony setting for relaxing and taking full advantage of the awesome view from a different vantage point. This one gives a new meaning to the term “hidden gem”.
What to know
Remote-controlled and single access gates secure the property well, with an extra parking bay out on the front verge simply an added bonus – and the ideal spot for your boat, caravan or trailer.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area downstairs is warmed by solid Jarrah floorboards and is graced by split-system air-conditioning, double sinks, a reverse-osmosis water-filter tap, stylish pendant lights, Emilia 90cm five-burner gas-cooktop and stainless-steel range-hood appliances and a Haier dishwasher for good measure.
Timber double sliders off here reveal a leafy entertaining deck made from mod-wood and an east-facing yard with splendid tree-lined views that captures all of the pleasant morning sunlight.
The sleeping quarters are separate and are made up of a massive master bedroom with split-system air-conditioning and built-in wardrobes, a large second bedroom with split-system air-conditioning, a fan and fitted built-in robes and a study – or potential fourth bedroom – with its own split-system, storage and access out to the rear laundry.
There is built-in linen storage to the hallway, whilst both fully-tiled side-by-side bathrooms have been impressively revamped – one of them boasting a walk-in rain shower and free-standing bathtub behind a cavity slider, with the other playing host to a walk-in rain shower of its own. A fully-tiled powder room with matching subway tiles completes the picture.
Extras include a security-door leadlight entrance, a 6.6kW solar power-panel system with a 5kW Fronius inverter, Foxtel connectivity, an instantaneous gas hot-water system, a water-filtration system to the entire house and reticulated front lawns and gardens.
Fantastic coastal convenience awaits you here, with Trigg Point, Hillarys Boat Harbour and seaside cafes and restaurants along either West Coast Drive or on the vibrant Flora Terrace strip only minutes away in their own right.
Top schools, sprawling Charles Riley Memorial Reserve parklands, majestic natural bushland, public transport, public and private golf courses, the freeway, the new-look Scarborough Beach esplanade and the revamped Karrinyup Shopping Centre complex are all in close proximity, as well.
What a location.

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.
Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
