The kitchen is tastefully decorated in white cabinetry with silver and glass uppers, an electric oven and cooktop, and stainless steel dishwasher. A slow combustion fire and split system air-conditioner, together with raked ceilings and sliding glass doors to the alfresco area, makes this a comfortable space in which to relax.

Versatility is key and the spacious lounge and dining room with easy care laminate flooring, can be configured any way you like, perhaps as an alternative living and play zone for the kids.

The bedroom wing has three good-sized junior rooms with built-in robes. The master bedroom at the end of the hallway is generous with sliding doors out to the alfresco letting in lots of natural light. The master includes a wall-mounted air-conditioner to keep you cool on hot summer nights plus a walk-through robe leading to a compact, airy ensuite with shower, toilet and vanity.

There is plenty of entertaining room outdoors with a spacious, brick paved, L-shaped gable patio separate to a sparkling below ground pool surrounded by towering palms and hibiscus that give it a tropical feel. Sitting behind the house near the pool is a cute storybook two-room studio with double French doors and a timber porch. Use your imagination and make it a guest retreat with walk-in robe, an office with storeroom or treat your kids to an awesome playroom/cubbyhouse they will never want to leave.

This property features the additional benefits of an 8-panel solar system, auto remote reticulation and a double remote entry garage with drive through access.

This family home is in a fantastic location with shops, medical, services and schools at your fingertips. Walk to Edinburgh Shopping Centre at the end of the street and to parks dotted around the vicinity.

Forrestfield overview

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.

Life in Forrestfield

Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. The main shopping centre known as the 'Forrestfield Forum and Marketplace' is home to 52 stores. There are a range of other retail establishments scattered throughout the area.

There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the  Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
