Your New Address...

Splendidly overlooking the rear of the lush and leafy "Vindobona" complex - an established brick-and-tile building that enviably sits only walking distance away from our picturesque Swan River foreshore and so much more, this neat and tidy one-bedroom one-bathroom ground-floor apartment will suit those from all walks of life, enjoying two separate entrances as an added bonus.

The second entry into the residence is via the back porch that doubles as an intimate alfresco setting with an awning for some extra protection from the elements. You will love the scenic green backdrop here, no matter what the weather or time of year.

Inside, low-maintenance timber-look flooring and painted white brickwork grace an open-plan living and dining area - complemented by split-system air-conditioning. The tiled and renovated kitchen to the side is incorporated into the design with its tiled splashbacks, over-head and under-bench storage cabinetry, gas cooktop and under-bench oven.

The bedroom is carpeted for comfort and enjoys access into an intimate ensuite bathroom - shower, toilet, vanity and all. Only metres from your door, you will find a single car bay for peace of mind - within the complex carpark.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
