And a big splash of sophistication.
You’ve got great taste (clearly: you’re reading this right now). You need a home to match, so why not settle into a lifestyle that’s on a whole other level with this 2x2 apartment in Maylands? It’s tempting to say that the best thing about it is the city view from the balcony, but actually, there’s so much more to appreciate that the view is more like a bonus than a selling point. Built only a few years ago, this is a seriously sleek and beautiful home, with modern amenities and a generous amount of space. It’s secure and low maintenance too, so you can lock and leave should you travel for work (or want to jet off on regular holidays) without a care in the world. The bedrooms are built for comfort, of course, but combined with their plentiful space, the clean lines of the built-in storage, and the timber-look flooring, they have definite swanky hotel vibes and are a haven at the end of a long day. The kitchen is just as elegant and is a joy to cook in thanks to the induction cooktop and stone benchtop. Plus you can easily entertain while you do it, as it’s part of the open-plan living and dining area which also opens out via double sliding doors to the balcony. Another upscale space, the balcony’s beautiful design captures the view across to the city while being large enough to fit an outdoor dining setting plus additional seating. Add some fine weather, good friends, and a few bottles of wine to the mix and it’s perfection.
Location-wise, Maylands is always on trend. It’s not just because of the restaurants and cafes that are buzzing with some of the coolest folk in town, and it’s not just because of the boutique stores and bakeries that are sure to catch your eye. It’s all of that… and more. It’s also that nice community feeling you get when you bump into a friendly neighbour while out for a walk at Gibbney Reserve (280m), or while grabbing a coffee at Little Picture (850m) or Garden Café (450m). It’s about the elegance and excitement of attending events at the yacht club (1.3km). It’s about grabbing some tasty treats from Smoults Larder (1.1km) or Sherbet (1km) and inviting loved ones around to share. It’s definitely about making memories over drinks at Volare (1km), Lyric’s, or Seasonal Brewing Co (900m), connecting with others during an amazing gig, and wandering home with a smile on your face. It’s the whole Maylands lifestyle; fun and fashionable, chic and a bit cheeky, and with something new to discover around every corner. It's exactly where you want to be.

Track propertyMaylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
