Not content with a generic layout, the owners deliberately designed this home to take full advantage of the large 933m2 block to produce a true entertainer's delight with a firm focus on comfortable everyday family life.

Nestled behind secure gates, the façade can only hint at the spacious floorplan beyond and serves to make the interior and backyard proportions more remarkable. The internal space is immediately on show from the beautiful timber pivot door and gloriously wide hallway featuring an expanse of bamboo flooring.

Two sumptuous king size guest suites are located at the front of the home and share a stunning ensuite bathroom which showcases large format porcelain wall tiles as well as a large rainwater shower and separate powder room for convenience.

At the end of the hall, you will enter the spectacular heart of the home where the open plan kitchen family dining room blends into the alfresco area and the use ceiling to floor windows makes the swimming pool appear to be a stunning internal feature.

This stunning open space has neutral tones with dark accents and bamboo flooring which is reflected in the kitchen for the perfect timeless appeal. The central island bench, masses of storage options and quality stainless steel appliances including integrated microwave and induction cooktop ensure this kitchen is ready for any occasion.

The beautiful timber stairs with Sydney sandstone feature wall leads to the second level which is where you will find an additional casual living area / sitting room plus the large fourth bedroom if needed as well as a study space. There is also a media room that has views over the pool and beyond but is fitted with blockout curtains if you are looking for a full cinema experience. The private master suite occupies the entire front half of this level and is where you are spoilt with your own balcony and a lavish dressing room as well as an amazing ensuite complete with a full-size bath, stacked stone feature wall plus a wet room with two rain showers and the convenience of a separate powder room.

At the rear, the massive wrap around alfresco is connected to the family space on three sides by stacking doors and is fitted with a kitchenette which includes a wood fired pizza oven, built-in BBQ and full-size sink. The solar heated pool comes with a relaxing spa at one end and is positioned on the northern side tucked behind a lush tropical garden and frameless glass fencing.

This dream back yard is large enough for a footy game and has the kids sorted with their own mansion with climbing wall access, slide exit and sand pit below. There is also a huge, powered workshop at the rear of the yard and there plenty of shade from the mature trees.

It is also the small details that play a large part in making this home special and those include the rooftop 5.5kw solar system, solar storage hot water system with booster and solar pool heating. The dog is not forgotten either - they get their own fully tiled bath with hot and cold running water.

The location ensures you are close to the best of everything in Maylands including the Swan River foreshore as well as the golf course, yacht club and the cappuccino strip or a short drive will have you either at the airport or the centre of Perth but either the bus or train is an easy option.

This home was designed for a family but it was most definitely built to share with your friends.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
