Hop, Skip or Jump to the Beach!

Nestled just footsteps away from West Coast Drive and the iconic rock pools of both the Mettams and Hamersley swimming holes, this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom two-storey home will charm you with its coastal warmth and comfortable living options.

Before you even step foot inside, a second driveway is ideal for boat, caravan or trailer parking. The main driveway leads into a remote-controlled lock-up tandem garage for two cars, complete with internal shopper’s entry and roller-door access to the rear – revealing a private backyard setting with lush green lawns, leafy gardens and a tranquil sunken patio and pergola outdoor-entertaining area.

Internally, solid Jarrah floorboards help preserve the property’s original character, with the front dining room – or second lounge – welcoming you with its feature fireplace and bi-folding doors that extend out to a pleasant entry deck. Sitting adjacent is a central meals and kitchen area with a skylight, double sinks, a breakfast bar for quick bites, tiled splashbacks, a range hood, a stainless-steel Bosch dishwasher, a five-burner gas cooktop and oven.

Past the kitchen is a huge sunken – and carpeted – family/living room with high raked ceilings, split-system air-conditioning and sliding-door access out to the yard. Also downstairs are two carpeted, generously sized, minor bedrooms with ceilings fans, a fully-tiled main family bathroom with a separate bath and shower, an under-stair storeroom (off the garage), a separate toilet and a separate laundry with external access to the back of the home.

Upstairs, ocean views to Rottnest Island complement a superb balcony deck where magical sunrises and evening sunsets can both be absorbed, as well as a stunning inland vista and a separate aspect of the deep blue ocean. This can all be experienced from a massive king-sized master retreat with split-system air-conditioning, an office/study space, a kitchenette area with a sink, storage and tiled splashbacks, a double-door walk-in wardrobe and a spacious ensuite – bubbling corner spa, separate shower, heat lamps, toilet and twin “his and hers” vanities.

Aside from the numerous cafes and restaurants that our glorious coastline dishes up, this exceptional residence is within walking distance of the sprawling Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields and is also in a very close proximity to excellent schools, North Beach Shopping Centre, iconic Trigg Beach, Clarko Reserve and Hillarys Boat Harbour. What a spot!

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
