UNDER OFFER BY JOSEPH GARDNER - HOME OPEN CANCELLED

This immaculate street-front home has been well taken care of and loved, having undergone significant renovations to make it more suited to a young and growing family. The current owners have lived there over the last decade and have taken great care of it which shows.

Situated on the quiet tree-lined Watson Place, the property has lovely street appeal. The front yard is fenced in by matching red brick and has the potential for extra height to be added with slats to create an enclosed front courtyard like the neighbours. To the side is your enclosed lock-up garage with a automatic door and access through to the rear with space in front for additional parking.

Walking through the front door into the heart of the home you will find a spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. The home has previously had an extension built to create a dedicated dining area off the kitchen, which also provides fantastic natural light from the wrap-around windows (electric roller shutters on all 3 windows!). The kitchen is already renovated and features a dishwasher, generous bench space, breakfast bar and plenty of under-bench and overhead cupboard space.

Down the hallway, you will find both bedrooms, reasonable in size (one with built-in robes & a ceiling fan), a separate toilet and an additional linen cupboard.

The separate renovated laundry is located just off the kitchen which takes you out to the backyard. The rear garden is low maintenance featuring raised feature garden beds, an established lime tree, granite paving and turf making it perfect for the busy family or investor. This is a lovely area to be enjoyed with friends and family.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
