If you have ever had the pleasure of hearing the rain on a tin (zincalume) roof with the wood fire CRACKLING in Winter followed by the joy of Spring bringing FRAGRANCE and abundant birdlife into the gardens, you will enjoy this CHARMING property oozing COUNTRY style. You will be greeted by lavender hedge, beautiful aged camellia and the welcoming jasmine arbor while the cascading wisteria creates dappled Summer shade in the Courtyard Alfresco.
The GRACE of the Australian Verandah : "provides shelter from the heat, a place to dry your laundry or to simply enjoy a refreshing tonic after work. A country style verandah can be where you put your boots on or the entrance to your home" - love this and we offer all of that !
Beautiful picture colonial windows allow the joy of the gardens and the cycle of the changes with each season to be enjoyed from most rooms in the home.
The hub of the home, linked by glass to the wisteria ALFRESCO, comprises an open plan family zone, warmed by the fire and adjoining Galley Kitchen, perfect to engage in each other's activities of the day. The 'quiet' Living Room, currently used as a Music Room is lovely to contemplate and 'be lost' in the BIRDS dancing in their bath outside. The cosy Sitting Room offers additional living to curl up with a book or another spot to simply put your feet up.
Kiddies will love spiralling up the staircase to their own Activity Room for KIDS ZONE privacy between two bedrooms (bedrooms 4 & 5) each with their own built-in robes and window seats and the parents may wander up (by invitation only I expect) to enjoy the SUNSET and twinkling COASTAL LIGHTS. The Activity Room would also make an inspiring ART STUDIO.
For DOWNSIZERS who have family visiting on occasion, pop them all upstairs with a bar fridge and kettle and there you have it, space and harmony for all !
The backyard is pure delight and a wonderful adventure playground for children. The large paved circular ring (The Ring Of Life) around the aged Marri provides for great fun on their tricycles or games of chasey, with trees to climb, a treehouse and cubby plus a boardwalk through the 'rainforest' section will be fun every day and a great venue for kiddies parties.

Named from an Aboriginal word meaning 'home in the forest', Kalamunda is a residential and parkland suburb with minor commercial sectors. Significant development of Kalamunda did not begin until the post-war years, with accelerated growth experienced through to the 1970s. The population has remained relatively stable since the mid 1990s.
Kalamunda provides residents with a lifestyle removed from over urbanisation with an array of parks and reserves dominating the suburb. A highlight is the Kalamunda Water Park, which is an enjoyable tourist attraction of the area. Kalamunda's town centre features a number of shopping centres as well as medical facilities like the Kalamunda Hospital Campus.
