Comfort and Seclusion on the Corner!

A tranquil cul-de-sac location is the fitting setting for this solidly-built 4 bedroom 2 bathroom family home that is also nestled on a large 765sqm (approx.) corner block and sits very close to where the majestic Lesmurdie Falls National Park and Mundy Regional Park meet, at the base of the Darling Scarp.

The pick of the bedrooms is a spacious and carpeted master suite with feature exposed ceilings, private outdoor access to the garden pergola, a walk-in wardrobe and a fully-tiled and renovated ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, shower-hose, toilet and vanity. A massive open-plan family and dining area is graced by stylish low-maintenance timber-look flooring, split-system air-conditioning, a burning pot-belly wood-fire heater (for those chilly winter months) and a splendid garden aspect out of its front window.

The kitchen is functionally integrated into the design with its double pantry, modern electric cooking appliances, sleek white dishwasher, double fridge/freezer recess, ample built-in storage and cupboard options and a feature ceiling skylight for natural illumination. There is also a central island breakfast bar for casual meals, inches away from a sliding door to access the pleasant garden pergola courtyard.

Doubling personal living options is a huge sunken rear games room with its own bar, built-in storage and shelving, external access to the yard and more than enough space for either an office area or study nook. All spare bedrooms are also carpeted for comfort and boast seemingly-endless built-in-robe space, inclusive of a larger second bedroom that also plays host to its own split-system air-conditioning unit.

A stylish main family bathroom has also been cleverly updated to include a shower, separate bathtub and powder vanity, whilst a separate second toilet off the laundry is complemented by generous floor space and a separate door to access the outside with. The serene backyard has some lawn, a pitched entertaining pergola and an over-sized garden shed, but its headline act is a shimmering below-ground salt-water swimming pool that will have you counting down the days until summer begins.

A host of creeks, lookouts and hiking trails - including the popular Whistlepipe Gully - all lie just minutes from your front doorstep, with other nearby amenities including the Hawaiian's Forrestfield Shopping Centre, cafes, restaurants, medical facilities, bus stops, Forrestfield Public Library, Forrestfield Primary School, the HillSide Christian College, the Darling Range Sports College, the magnificent Hartfield Golf Club and lush Hartfield Park playing fields. Major arterial roads and the site of the new High Wycombe Train Station - part of the soon-to-be-completed Forrestfield-Airport Link - are also in close proximity and conveniently situated. It really is a case of "position perfect" here!

Forrestfield overview

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.

Life in Forrestfield

Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. The main shopping centre known as the 'Forrestfield Forum and Marketplace' is home to 52 stores. There are a range of other retail establishments scattered throughout the area.

There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the  Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
