Tranquilly nestled in a stunning “up-and-coming” pocket of North Beach where the action is and only walking distance away from both the bush and beach lies this fantastic 3 bedroom 2 bathroom Dale Alcock-built residence that is privately positioned on a large low-maintenance rear block and is ideal for down-sizers, first-home buyers and those who just simply want to experience what living in this wonderful suburb is really like.

The soothing sounds of chirping natural birdlife can even be heard from inside where two generous separate living zones lie in wait – including a welcoming front lounge room warmed by gleaming Bamboo floorboards and boasts a ceiling fan, a gas bayonet for heating and space for a study nook, all off the entry. A spacious open-plan family and dining area is neatly tiled, as is a renovated modern kitchen with stylish light fittings, sparkling stone bench tops, a breakfast bar for casual meals, double sinks, an appliance nook, separate Simpson gas-cooktop and oven appliances, a sleek white Whirlpool dishwasher and a stainless-steel Whirlpool range hood for good measure.

Double French doors from here reveal a pitched side patio for alfresco-style entertaining, wrapping around to a huge backyard with plenty of room to move, hidden amidst established easy-care gardens. North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
