It’s not difficult to picture kids playing and creating their own adventures as they range freely over this large Mahogany Creek property. A series of garden ‘rooms’, a powered workshop and a shaded verandah and pergola offer ample space for free play, outdoor entertaining and creative pursuits. Set back from the street with established trees creating a sense of privacy, the solid, well-presented home is designed for family life with good-sized bedrooms, multiple living areas and an easy-flowing floorplan.

A shady front porch leads into the spacious entry hall with double sliding doors open to the formal lounge. The open plan kitchen/family room and adjoining dining room are arranged across the rear of the home and open to the sunroom and rear verandah and patio.

In the updated kitchen a wall oven and grill, stone bench with breakfast bar and electric hotplates and dishwasher fashion a practical workspace with great links to the outdoor entertaining area.

The main bedroom and three good-sized junior bedrooms – two with built-in robes – access the family bathroom – and its gorgeous saffron-coloured tub – and second bathroom in the laundry. The largest of the junior bedrooms is arranged off the dining room with direct access from the garage – ideal for guests or use as a private study/home office.

Both the sunroom and dining room open to the paved back verandah and large alfresco entertaining zone. Surrounded by well-maintained gardens with a path leading to a shady, vine-covered pergola; this sheltered, private space is a fabulous ‘outdoor room’.

A grove of large, established fruit trees lines the property’s northern boundary and shields the home from a driveway that runs towards the centre of the block and a powered workshop. A gated fence defines the ‘home paddock’ and separates the ‘natural’ from the ‘landscaped’ formal gardens and fruit trees.

Ideally located between Glen Forrest and Mundaring, where you will find great local shopping, services, schools, sporting and recreational facilities, the city of Midland is a 15-minute drive away.

Mahogany Creek overview

This suburb takes its name from Mahogany Creek, a picturesque tributary of Jane Brook which flows through the area. The creek was known by this name as early as 1830, and takes its name from the towering forest through which it flowed (mahogany was the early colonial name for Jarrah). This place is well known from "The Old Mahogany Inn" located here, an early colonial wayside inn, formerly known as the "Prince of Wales" Inn. The area was developed as orchard land in the 1890's, and a railway stopping place was established here in 1891.
