What we love..
A one off designed two-storey residence in a whisper-quiet parkside, cul-de-sac location overlooking picturesque Lake Brearley, with a tropical outlook that truly must be seen to be believed. The impressive resort-style living, is inspired by solid Bamboo floorboards and has been designed to maximise stunning lake views. Beyond the double-door entrance downstairs lies a welcoming front living room (or home office), separated from the casual open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area by another set of gorgeous French doors.
Upstairs, a huge timber-lined balcony with a ceiling fan and bar area enjoys the best vista of all, accessible via both the versatile family room and a sumptuous master-bedroom suite that is more like a “parent’s retreat” with its own walk-in wardrobe, soaring cathedral-style high ceilings and a spacious ensuite bathroom, comprising of a bubbling spa, a shower and a separate toilet. The other bedrooms on the same level have built-in robes and are serviced by a spare toilet and a contemporary main bathroom where a shower and separate bathtub help cater for everybody’s personal needs. Out back, sprawling green lawns, a covered alfresco-entertaining area under the main roof and a separate cabana meet a shimmering below-ground heated salt-water swimming pool as part of a tropical garden setting.

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
