Boasting two gated driveways, room for all of your toys and a massive rear workshop shed with a back roller door for further access, this charming 3 bedroom 1 bathroom property on a huge block is somewhat of a “tradesman’s dream” and comfortably sits only walking distance away from bus stops and Maida Vale Primary School.
Lush backyard lawns leave heaps of space for a courtyard, firepit and even a future swimming pool, if you are that way inclined. Even the front yard is great for the kids – or the family pet – to run around securely, without a worry in the world.
Inside, solid wooden floorboards add character to all three bedrooms, as well as a welcoming front lounge room off the kitchen. The latter plays host to double sinks, timber bench tops, tiled splashbacks, exquisite display cabinetry and an electric-upright cooker and oven.
The sleek and stylish bathroom has been cleverly renovated to include a bathtub with a feature rain showerhead, a wood vanity and quality floor-to-ceiling tiling. At the back of the house, a tiled open-plan family and dining area with two ceiling fans seamlessly extends out to the rear yard for entertaining, via gorgeous double French doors.
Also within a short stroll are the lovely Davies Park, the sprawling Maida Vale Recreation Reserve and the Hillview Public Golf Course. A very close proximity to other schools, shopping centres, the soon-to-be-completed Forrestfield-Airport Link, majestic National Parks and the heart of Kalamunda’s old town centre up in Perth’s rolling hills is simply an added bonus. This area was first settled in 1873 by William Henry Mead. He built a home in the Ridge Hill area, and established an orchard named "Orangedale". The name of Maida Vale was chosen as the district name by a public meeting of local residents in 1910, and comes from the property name of another early settler, Mr W H McCormack. It is assumed that the name was derived from that of the west London suburb of this name, which in turn is named after Maida (S. Pietro di Maida) in Calabria, Italy. The British Army defeated the French there in 1806, and in commemoration of the victory Maida Hall and Maida Vale were named.
Within the suburb there is a primary school, Maida Vale Primary School, a golf course, numerous parks/ovals, small shops, and a heated swimming pool. Maida Vale retains areas of natural bushland and is not completely built-up with housing.
