SPACIOUS GARDEN VILLA

Looking for something that little bit bigger with your own garden and entertaining area? From the moment you step inside this beautiful villa, you will feel at home. With a lovely big lounge, separate dining and a very generous kitchen with loads of cupboard space, it’s absolutely ideal for entertaining. The kitchen includes a near-new Ariston 4 burner stainless steel gas cook top and an electric oven, and the lounge and master bedroom both have reverse cycle split system air conditioners.

The lounge opens out onto a sizable under cover alfresco area with room for more than one outdoor dining/lounge setting, and the alfresco area looks out over a lush private mature garden.

There is a single carport to the left of your front door, but residents usually park a second car behind this, and the property has loads of storage with not only a built-in brick storeroom but two sheds, one at the front and one at the rear.

83-87 Peninsula Road is generally a quiet and well maintained complex with a mix of owner occupiers and quality tenants, and it’s well located, just 300m from riverside parkland and the Maylands golf course.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
