Arriving at this property you will instantly smile as you are greeted with the cutest owl on the letterbox. Attention to detail already apparent you will be wanting to see more. A lovely front verandah shades the front of the home and in springtime the flush of roses makes this a very pretty entrance.

The entrance hall is warmly welcoming with high ceilings and the beautiful recycled jarrah floorboards reclaimed from the old Entertainment Centre in Perth. To the left of the entrance hall is the large main bedroom with walk-in-robe and large modern ensuite a quiet retreat from the hub of the home. Next, to the left, is the well-appointed laundry and then the fourth bedroom which is currently a study but would make a lovely nursery. To the right is the entrance to the attached garage which is huge in width and height. Reverse cycle air-conditioning keeps this home comfortable year round.

Further down the hallway is the lovely open plan living, kitchen and meals area. It sits high above the backyard giving beautiful and relaxing vistas of the natural world outside. The kitchen has soft-close drawers, induction stove top, dishwasher, a huge walk-in pantry and Corian bench tops. The lovely alfresco adjoins this open plan living area allowing for ease of entertaining. With the pool to the left these well thought out areas will allow for lots of summer fun!

To the right of the kitchen you will find the junior wing of the home with two large bedrooms, one currently used as a gym, a large, immaculate family bathroom and a separate powder room.

If you think the inside is stunning then the outside won’t disappoint. Every part of this block has been well thought out and much of it is productive from the vege patches to the fruit trees. The fruit trees include some very old pear trees, blood orange tree, lemon tree, grapefruit, cherry, lemonade, berries and a variety of stone fruit trees. The current owners have found the block to have a lot of ground water so the need to water is minimal. To add to the self-sufficient lifestyle the current owners have established a little vineyard with wine grapes at the back of the property. Giving you the opportunity to make lots of great family memories with your own grape stomping festival. Harvesting your own produce with children or grandchildren will help develop a real love of the natural world in your own backyard.

The backyard has handy side access and a very handy insulated powered shed for all those who like to tinker or create. It could also be a great space for a man-cave, games room or a teenage retreat.

Mundaring overview

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
