Luxury Entertainer – Just WOW!

Located in the sought-after Maylands River precinct options abound for the savvy buyer. There is so much to choose from with Bardon Park and Swan River Foreshore a short stroll away, including a dedicated dog park and kids play area. Or for those who like water sports, you are in luck.

The hip strip of Eight Ave and Whatley Crescent is perfect for a bit of shopping, coffee, wining and dining or to enjoy cool tunes at the local bars.

So, what’s on offer?

Behind the walled front garden (you can see the city lights!) and the groovy front red door is this sensational, character 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home. This circa 1960’s stunner has been extensively renovated featuring multiple living spaces and an incredible outdoor living area. All the hard work has been done.

Major renovations over 6 years include high-end luxury fittings and fixtures throughout. Solid polished Jarrah floorboards flow seamlessly to the massive outdoor entertainment space which can be enjoyed all year round thanks to the ZipTrak blinds which keep the weather out - and you dry.

The 2 minor bedrooms are located at the front of the home. The larger bedroom at the front of the home has an elevated view to see city lights and even watch the WA Day Drone light show - which was awesome!

The smaller bedroom is used as the study and can be easily changed around to suit personal needs as robes are fitted. The second bathroom features a floor to ceiling tiles, 10mm frameless shower, stunning designer Laufen wall hung basin and WC.

The main hub of the house centers around the gorgeous open plan gourmet kitchen, dining and lounge area which remains light and bright due to a fixed Sky tunnel located in the kitchen. This combined area divides the house into separate living areas - perfect if you need privacy or timeout from the kids or visitors! The modern laundry adjacent to the kitchen offers ample storage.

Avid chefs will fall in in love with kitchen with all the mods cons. Why not grab a few of the fruits from the mature trees (choose from Limes, Lemons, Mandarins and Oranges) from the established back garden to enjoy freshly squeezed juice at the breakfast bar. Or curl up on the lounge with a cuppa in front of the Escea Gas log fire to stay toasty warm. Options are endless. The current owner loves to chill in the front living room whilst gazing through the Velux Sky window. Just magical.

The Master Bedroom, Bathroom and WIR are separated from the minor bedrooms so you can enjoy a luxury retreat. Are you a morning person? If so, watch the sunrise from the master bedroom windows or walk out onto the rear deck via the bifold doors.

For those bath lovers, the gorgeous freestanding bath will help soak away your stresses after a long day. Not a bath person – then enjoy a long rain shower instead. Floor to ceiling tiles make cleaning easy. The gorgeous 800mm round wall cabinet adds the touch of elegance, and the designer Laufen 1600mm vanity basin and double custom wooden draw cabinet seals the WOW factor.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
