A PLEASANT SURPRISE!

This delightful 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home is perched in a quiet loop location – opposite the lovely Lockridge Community Garden – and will definitely put smiles on the faces of your entire family.

The garden across the road even backs on to the Lockridge Community Centre, the splendid Woolgar Park and its picturesque Woolgar Lake. Step foot inside the house itself though and you will be greeted by solid wooden floorboards that help preserve the property’s original charm and character.

A renovated modern kitchen makes an instant first impression with its sleek bench tops, stylish tiled splashbacks, double sinks, a range hood, gas cooktop and an under-bench oven. The adjacent dining room is nice and central and overlooks a huge sunken lounge room with low-maintenance timber-look floors, a gas bayonet, split-system air-conditioning and its own private front access, via the driveway.

The carpeted master bedroom has its own split-system air-conditioning unit, whilst neighbouring a contemporary fully-tiled bathroom with a bathtub, showerhead, vanity and more. Both spare bedrooms are carpeted too, with the second bedroom enjoying some custom hanging space within.

Off both the kitchen and separate laundry, you will find access to a huge full-width entertaining patio at the rear, along with lawn, garden-shed storage and flourishing gardens in the backyard. Amongst a myriad of fruit trees are the likes of mulberries, mandalime, blood orange, kumquat, pawpaw and lemon, as well as fennel and potato growing wildly up the back. Out the front – in the wooden raised vegetable garden – are tomato and artichoke, with some rosemary to complement. It’s pure bliss.

Enjoy stunning Swan Valley breweries, wineries and restaurants at your doorstep, future train stations to be built at nearby Whiteman Park and Bennett Springs East as part of the new Morley-Ellenbrook railway line, Lockridge Primary School only walking distance away and the likes of Altone Park Shopping Centre, bus stops, the Swan Active Recreation Centre, Altone Park Golf Course, Kiara College, Grimrey Oval, other shopping, medical and day-care facilities and major highways and arteries that help guide you towards the coast, city and Perth Airport all just a matter of minutes from one another. The word “convenient” springs to mind. As does the term “a golden opportunity”!

Lockridge overview

The suburb of Lockridge derives its name from a Swan valley property owned by the Hamersley family. The Hamersley's, a prominent colonial family owned a number of properties, and resided at Pyrton in what is now Eden Hill. Part of the Lockridge land became Pyrton Estate which the government developed for soldier settlement in the 1920's. The residential development in Lockridge was commenced by the State Housing Commission in 1969 when it purchased 240 acres for the purpose.
