Riverside Dreaming! Genuinely rare opportunity for a unique lifestyle.
Surrounded by tranquil waters, birdlife and serenity - It's not the Blackwood River down in our State's spectacular southwest or even the beautiful Mandurah Estuary. It is 2,403sqm of prime Maylands real estate with direct river access from your own boat ramp and jetty from the privacy of its sprawling backyard - right here, less than 10 minutes from the heart of the Perth CBD and international airport. And you wouldn't even know about it.
This riverside block currently plays host to a solid 5 bedroom 3 bathroom two-storey home - complete with a self-contained 1x1 apartment/granny-flat on the ground floor - that can easily be lived in or rented out whilst you plan your next move. Imagine generating a handsome rental income while you map out your family's future in one of the city's most mesmerising and tranquil locations.
Whether it's the chirping sounds of the local birdlife that capture your imagination,, or perhaps it's magical sunrises over the stunning river waters every single morning of the year. This unique purchase is one that young families are destined to cherish for many years to come.
What remains can either be extensively renovated or knocked down so you can build brand-new and start afresh. It will most likely be the latter, but at least the existing dwelling provides you with a snapshot of what can be achieved here - and serenity, seclusion and forever river views that go with it.
Launch many adventures with your own private floating jetty and boat ramp. There is also lock-up boat storage for good measure, making sure you don't have to worry about a thing ever again.
Aside from having enough room to build that garage, workshop, swimming pool, spa, balcony, alfresco, theatre room, study and even tennis court you have always wanted, you will appreciate living so close to bus stops, Maylands Peninsula Public Primary School, the Maylands Peninsula Public Golf Course, shopping, medical facilities, the Maylands and Mount Lawley Train Stations, Ascot Racecourse, the vibrant Whatley Crescent food and coffee strip, Perth Airport and so much more, despite all of the peace, quiet and riverside splendour. Just one hour down river by boat and its open waters to Rottnest and beyond.
It's all about the land, location and lifestyle here. And it could be all yours!

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
