Lush, green lawns and a long, shady verandah draw you into this stylish, spacious and light-filled home. A welcoming foyer leads on one side to the spacious adults’ wing and the open plan living zone on the other. In the open plan living area, blond timber floors and light cream walls with crisp white trim glow with the light from a trio of remote-controlled sky windows. A slow combustion fireplace and reverse-cycle air-conditioner ensure year-round comfort in this central living space comprising a lounge room, meals area, kitchen and sunken family room.

Space, storage and quality appliances fashion a delightful modern kitchen. Timber cabinets, ample bench space, a dishwasher, and a triple Belling oven with five burners will delight the most passionate and dedicated of home cooks. A large corner window brings ample natural light and green-hued views of the garden.

A large sliding glass door links the sunken family room to an expansive, outdoor entertaining area and below ground sparkling pool. Sheltered by a high gabled roof, paved and fitted with overhead fans, this “outdoor room” offers space, shade and a relaxing outlook – the perfect spot for impromptu alfresco dinners, poolside cocktails and memorable family celebrations.

Generous rooms, abundant natural light and a family-focused design imbue this home with a sense of calm and serenity. Separate adults’ and kids’ wings to either side of the open plan living zone give everyone their own space and a place to be together. The beautifully appointed adult’s suite features a large loungeroom – currently styled as a lounge and home office – leading into the main bedroom with walk-in robe and ensuite.

In the junior wing, a central hallway opens to four good sized bedrooms – all with built-in robes – a family bathroom with a modern vanity, soaking tub/spa and a shower. A spacious walk-through laundry with an abundance of storage and accentuated by a practical stone worktop is functional too with a separate W.C.

At the southern end of the entertaining area, a path leads past a small garden shed, a series of raised garden beds and fruit trees to an impressive chicken coop. The aptly named, “Cluckingham Palace” features electric fencing, automatic gates and a cute cottage-style coop. At the end of the path is a discreetly positioned 9 m x 7 m (approx) powered Colorbond workshop with an adjoining double carport. A secure “storage cube” and kitchenette create a flexible workspace with drive-in access. A freestanding brick and tile double garage offers additional vehicle storage arranged just inside the front gate.

It’s all here, laid out and waiting: A private setting, a stylish, spacious home, and beautifully landscaped gardens, pool and outdoor living. Solar, automatic reticulation-it’s all here! Make a plan now to create your perfect Hills life in a hidden location that offers easy access to schools, shops and amenities.

Mundaring overview

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
