This spectacular North facing 5 bedroom 3 bathroom two-storey residence by “Broadway Homes” won the MBA Award for the Best Contract Home. It oozes modern class, flawlessly combining a timeless sense of contemporary elegance with a dream coastal location, just footsteps from the iconic rock pools of both the Mettams and Hamersley swimming holes – and close to so much more that beautiful North Beach and its surrounds have to offer.

Beyond an exemplary façade lies an absolute oasis resort-style setup, before you even step foot inside. A shimmering below-ground gas-heated chlorine swimming pool has its own Chemigem system, as well as a series of flowing waterfall features that help set the mood. Stepping stones over the water and custom benches seating areas allow everybody to relax and unwind out here.

Internally, a cavity slider shuts off a carpeted front lounge/theatre room from the foyer, with BOSE audio speakers complementing a built-in stone bar/kitchenette. There is also a laundry downstairs – complete with tiled splashbacks, sleek stone bench tops, ample storage space (including a full-height sliding double linen press) and side access to the exterior for drying – and an open kids’ study area with a huge under-stair storeroom and outdoor access to a side deck and an easy-care yard with artificial turf. The young ones will love it out here, too.

A commodious second or “guest” bedroom suite headlines the lower-level sleeping quarters with its built-in double wardrobes and private ensuite/second bathroom – large shower, stone vanity, toilet, floor-to-ceiling tiling and all. There is a fully-tiled powder room and fully-tiled main family bathroom on this level as well – both finished off by stone-vanity bench tops.

The third bathroom has a shower, separate bathtub and a heated towel rack as well. The third and fourth bedrooms are both massive in size and have mirrored built-in robes, whilst a versatile fifth bedroom is also epic in its proportions and doubles as an activity room – with its own separate access out to the side yard.

Upstairs, the parents’ wing is made up of an exquisite master retreat with plenty of space for pampering, a recessed ceiling, integrated audio speakers, a fitted double-door walk-in robe and a sumptuous open – and fully-tiled – ensuite with a free-standing central bathtub, a shower, toilet, heat lamps, heated towel rails, ocean views from within and twin “his and hers” stone vanities. The adjacent main office area is impeccably-appointed with a large stone computer desk and an L-shaped stone kitchenette – with lots of built-in storage and a sink.

The open-plan family, dining and kitchen area is where you will undoubtedly spend most of your casual time and is made up of its own eye-catching recessed ceiling and a media recess, as well as remote-controlled internal blinds and a built-in stone computer/study nook – doubling as a custom two-person workstation with a generous double storage cupboard.

The magnificent kitchen is every resident chef’s dream with its sparkling stone bench tops, attractive glass splashbacks, breakfast bar, double sinks, a stainless-steel AEG dishwasher and high-end integrated range-hood, five-burner Bosch gas-cooktop, AEG-oven and AEG Micromat Duo appliances. Bi-fold doors extend entertaining from here, out to a sublime north-facing front alfresco-style balcony with a cathedral-style ceiling protecting you from the elements – and a built-in gas barbecue. The splendid sea vista is magnificent, no matter what time of day or year it is.

A host of trendy cafes and restaurants lie just footsteps away, with the sprawling Charles
Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields within easy walking distance. A very close proximity to excellent schools, North Beach Shopping Centre, glorious Trigg Beach, the sprawling Clarko Reserve, Hillarys Boat Harbour and the new-look Karrinyup Shopping Centre is simply an added bonus – with public transport, golf courses and the vibrant local Flora Terrace precinct all only a matter of minutes from your front door. Your own piece of paradise awaits – and all you have to do is bring your things and start living the coastal lifestyle!

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
