Bring Your Bravest Reno Plans

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - NO INTERNAL PHOTOS AVAILABLE.

Bring your biggest, boldest renovation plans and get ready to get your hands dirty, because this property needs some serious love. But don't let that put you off. If you've been considering the idea of a long-term project, have an affinity for flipping houses, or just love the idea of breathing life into a hidden gem, this is a wonderful opportunity. Most people would look at this and panic, but for the right buyer, it's a pretty snazzy option to get your hands on something you can turn into a real home, or renovate it and rent it out. Bonus: it even comes with a granny flat, so you potentially have two homes for the price of one.

Built in the mid-90s, this brick and tile has definitely seen better days but it still has good bones and lots of potential. Some features remain such as the wood fire and solar panels, and with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it's a decent size. It sits on a block of just over half an acre, giving you lots of garden space to play with as well. There are lots of established trees and shrubs that just need a bit of love to get back into tip-top shape, but a proper landscaping job is another possibility.

Features Include:

·  Needs a buyer ready to roll up their sleeves!
·  1696 built brick and tile home
·  4 bedrooms
·  1 bathroom
·  Separate lounge room needing new ceiling
·  Kitchen needs the reno finished or simply start again
·  Meals area
·  Bathroom ready for a total update
·  Slow combustion wood fire
·  Bonus 1 bedroom self contained granny flat
·  Double & single garages
·  Fully fenced 2244m2 (just over half an acre)
·  Nice level block
·  Here is your chance to get your hands dirty!

Location-wise, this property sits in a gorgeous, leafy street with that proper 'bushland' feel, and is close to reserves and parkland. Only slightly further afield is the heritage trail, plus schools, shops, pubs, cafes, and sports facilities. The suburb itself is sandwiched between state forests and national parks, making this a great spot for those who love to get out and exploring in nature. So if you're ready for a challenge, this home will be worth the effort.

Mahogany Creek overview

This suburb takes its name from Mahogany Creek, a picturesque tributary of Jane Brook which flows through the area. The creek was known by this name as early as 1830, and takes its name from the towering forest through which it flowed (mahogany was the early colonial name for Jarrah). This place is well known from "The Old Mahogany Inn" located here, an early colonial wayside inn, formerly known as the "Prince of Wales" Inn. The area was developed as orchard land in the 1890's, and a railway stopping place was established here in 1891.
