What we love..
Positioned on the border of Maylands and Mt Lawley, and a literal stone’s throw from some of Perth’s best bars and eateries, this two-bedroom villa is something to behold – just as it is, and all that it could be. Unlatch the entry gate and enter the paved portico. Picture colourful pots filled with vibrant, lush plants lining both sides of the walkway, and perhaps some antique finds – mirrors or artwork. Step up to the security-screened front door and the intrigue continues inside the property. Highly polished tiles and off-white walls extend the length of the entryway. The dramatic gallery feel provides separation from the portico to the combined living/dining and kitchen area – imbued with warmth from stunning, contrasting floating floorboards.
The kitchen boasts immaculate stone countertops, fresh white subway tiling, ample cabinetry overhead and under-counter; dishwasher, stainless steel oven, four-element induction cooktop, rangehood and large fridge recess. A large, paved courtyard adjoins the internal living area and is accessed via sliding glass doors. This is your blank canvas, limited only by your imagination and whether you choose to retain the existing small garden bed, shed and folding clothesline.
A roomy alcove/nook adjacent to the bedrooms provides functionality pending your needs – office, relaxation corner or storage. While a separate powder room adjacent to the laundry and accessed via double doors provides much-needed
convenience and privacy from the main bathroom when entertaining guests.
This compact urban pad, bordering the city limits will prove just the ticket for the astute buyer or investor!

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
