What we love
The surprising privacy and the pleasant ocean views on offer from within this fantastic 4 bedroom 2 bathroom North Beach home that is tranquilly positioned to the rear and is nestled just a few doors down from the beach and Hamersley Pool in particular. Upstairs, most of your casual time will be spent enjoying the spaciousness and airiness of a carpeted open-plan family and dining area that separates a large tiled alfresco-style balcony with a sea vista from the stylish kitchen – complete with timber-look flooring, a breakfast bar for quick meals, double sinks, a water-filter tap, a stainless-steel dishwasher, gas cooktop, range hood, tiled splashbacks, a corner pantry and a separate oven for good measure. The upper-level master-bedroom suite is also carpeted and has its own wardrobe, as well as folding doors that lead into an adjacent study – or parent’s retreat – with its own private balcony to let the sensual sea breezes filter through.

Externally, a secure double garage is complemented by a sliding gate that reveals a spacious backyard where an additional driveway for parking your boat, caravan or trailer meets a lovely paved courtyard and lush backyard lawns. A separate sunken courtyard out front is also ideal for entertaining, splendidly overlooked by a delightful alcove off the tiled downstairs lounge room where split-system air-conditioning for all seasons meets a gas bayonet for heating and a built-in kitchenette with a sink – servicing the minor sleeping quarters rather nicely. Also upstairs is a carpeted second bedroom with direct access through to the powder room off the fully-tiled semi-ensuite “master” bathroom – spa bath, separate shower and all.

What to know
Downstairs, the third and fourth bedrooms are both carpeted for comfort and have their own split-system air-conditioning units and built-in robes, only inches away from the main family bathroom (and its shower and twin vanities), a separate second toilet and a functional laundry with built-in storage and outdoor access. You will also appreciate the internal shopper’s entry door via the double lock-up garage. Extras include under-stair storage, a separate upper-level storage cupboard, a balcony café blind, ducted and zoned reverse-cycle air-conditioning (upstairs), a ducted-vacuum system, feature down lighting, feature skirting boards and a side-access gate to the front courtyard.

Stroll to Tom’s Italian or fish and chips at North Beach Plaza around the corner whilst indulging in a very close proximity to Flora Terrace’s vibrant food, coffee and boutique shopping strip, bus stops, North Beach Primary School, Our Lady of Grace Primary School, Star Swamp’s majestic bushland reserve walking trails, the sprawling (and recently-revamped) Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields, Trigg Point, public and private golf courses, the exciting Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment, the freeway, other top educational facilities and more. Now this is a location that will absolutely capture your imagination!

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
