Stunningly situated on a massive 1,012sqm (approx.) block where there is heaps of room for a future swimming pool in place of the sprawling backyard lawns, this solid 4 bedroom 1 bathroom brick-and-tile home is charming, comfortable and sits only walking distance away from a plethora of picturesque local parklands.

Also outdoors, double driveway gates secure ample parking options in front of a double carport with its own access gates to the backyard.

Internally, a carpeted front lounge with split-system air-conditioning sits behind the privacy of double sliding doors off the entry and is complemented by the low-maintenance flooring of an adjacent dining room. A separate open-plan family and meals area at the back of the floor plan boasts character brickwork and has its own split-system air-conditioning unit for good measure.

Lesmurdie overview

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
