What we love
The commanding street-front position of this beautifully-presented 4 bedroom 2 bathroom family home, nestled on an elevated block that takes full advantage of stunning ocean views from upstairs. Outdoors, a huge paved entertaining area under the rear alfresco is nice and private, complemented by a lovely, established garden – and lots of it. One the upper floor, high cathedral-style ceilings grace another fabulous alfresco out on the balcony – built-in range hood, barbecue setting and all. Café blinds almost fully enclosed the space as an entire room and allow you to also experience the most pleasant of tree-lined inland vistas towards the coast.
Downstairs and linking to the backyard is a tiled sitting/lounge room with its own kitchenette. Matching with the balcony, the soaring ceiling of an open-plan family, dining and kitchen area creates an overwhelming sense of spaciousness and functionality. The kitchen itself is made up of double sinks, a water-filter tap, electric cooking appliances, a microwave nook, additional appliance cupboard and a sleek white Bosch dishwasher. There is also plenty of space for a study desk, if need be.
What to know
The bedrooms are all carpeted for comfort and have a mixture of ceiling fans and built-in robes, whilst the master enjoys the luxury of its very own ensuite. The neutral main family bathroom is brilliant in its simplicity and features a shower. Extras include a separate double lock-up garage out front, a practical laundry with external access, split-system air-conditioning a gas hot-water system, security doors and screens, a large backyard garden shed, lush green front-yard lawns, extra driveway parking space with room for a boat or caravan and handy side-access gates.
Stroll to snorkelling, swimming and a calm lagoon at the iconic local hotspot that is Mettams Pool, with bus stops, the North Beach Bowling and Tennis Clubs, Our Lady of Grace Primary School and the sprawling Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields nestled at the end of the street. Aside from the beach, you will also love living close to North Beach Shopping Centre and North Beach Primary School just around the corner, cafes, restaurants, Flora Terrace, the majestic “Class A” Star Swamp Bushland Reserve, Trigg Point, public and private golf courses, the exciting Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment, the freeway, other top educational facilities and even Hillarys Boat Harbour a little further south. Absolutely everything is within arm’s reach – and it’s impressive.

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.
Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
