Listening to the waves while soaking in the outdoor spa in one of three sprawling entertaining zones of this coastal home is a tonic that you will never grow tired of.

This massive four-bedroom family home is designed to give you choices. Take your pick - you can drink at the indoor bar, dance under the second pitch-roofed patio or eat hot spicy pizzas fresh from the outdoor oven as the sun sets on your busy working week.

A minutes' walk from the beach, this home is situated close to schools, shops, coastal parks and all that Yanchep offers in the escape from the maddening crowds.

An elevated limestone retaining wall climbs up to the front of this secluded property where mature beach pines welcome you home. The red brick exterior reflects the evening glow beyond the enclosed porch.

Inside jarrah feature grade timber floors extend from the hallways to the family living area in the beating heart of the home.

Privacy at the front creates some peace in the queen-sized master suite where soft egg-shell coloured walls give way to a deep earthy-toned feature wall. Tinted windows block the glare from sun-drenched days and an ensuite with double china sinks and a full-length cabinet is hidden behind a wall that is partially open to the suite.

Across the hall an impressive theatre room is equipped with a rear projection theatre system and tinted windows for serious binge nights with the family when the party mood escapes you.

Carpets, LED down lights, and roller and panel blinds adorn the theatre room and all the bedrooms.

High ceilings throughout add even more space to the indoor open plan living where the kitchen boasts a custom-made bold glossy splashback that matches that of the bar in the opposite corner. Other kitchen features include a walk-in pantry with sensor lighting, stainless steel appliances, 900 mm oven and cooktop. A lengthy breakfast bar separates the kitchen and dining space.

Adding to the relaxed feel indoors is the wood heater perched on the stunning limestone hearth that makes the room warm and inviting. More quality limestone, solid jarrah benchtops and glass shelving make the bar a stand-out.

A private secondary bedroom wing is off the family room incorporating two double bedrooms with built-in, glass mirrored robes and another bedroom currently used as a study comes complete with a custom-made solid marri desktop, communications unit and wall shelving.

A functional family bathroom and separate toilet services this area and is decorated in neutral tones and easy clean tiles. Next to this is a laundry that effortlessly provides magnificent storage space for all the washing that comes from the two lines outside.

A triple garage with parking for four cars is situated at the back of the home with direct access inside to this secondary wing. Currently part of the garage is used as a workshop, so if you require a man cave, this is the one.

If you've had a few drinks and think you're seeing double, you'd be forgiven, because at this home doubling up on space is the order of the day.

Yanchep overview

Yanchep is an outer suburb located on the coast, 56 kilometres north of Perth. Originally a small crayfishing settlement, it was developed by entrepreneur Alan Bond in the 1970s. The name ‘Yanchep’ was adapted from the Nyoongar word ‘Yandjip’, or ‘Yanget’, which is their word for the bulrush reed that is abundant around the wetlands of the area. Its boundaries as a suburb are extremely large, covering over 220 square kilometres and taking up almost the entire northern and north-eastern portion of the City of Wanneroo.

Life in Yanchep

As a suburb, Yanchep has a shopping centre with a large Woolworths and various specialty shops such as a newsagency, butcher, bakery, hair salon, travel agency, cafe, massage and nail salons and fast food outlets. A garden centre, vet and various other businesses are also located in the industrial area a few hundred metres from the shopping centre.

Yanchep is a popular tourist destination due to its close proximity to the Yanchep National Park, therefore most residents are located in a small enclave around Yanchep Beach Road, near the coast. There are two primary schools and one secondary school in the area, with a new primary school expected to open in 2021.
