CENTRAL DENMARK

The relaxed Denmark, natural setting for wineries, restaurants, beaches and big trees, an enviable pace of life in a welcoming, inclusive community are just a few of the factors that make the Denmark lifestyle so appealing.

This lovely property is right at the heart of all this, set among quality character homes in a leafy street and all the amenities of the shopping precinct a single block away.
It is a comfortable, sunny and bright home with well-proportioned rooms and it’s in excellent order inside and out.

A real bonus is its zoning of Professional Office, allowing flexibility of use for home-based business operators. Though it’s currently used only as a residence, this could be a useful option for new owners.

Occupying a 609sqm block, mostly in lawn with raised veggie beds and a few trees, the brick and tile home offers a choice of living spaces with a sizeable lounge at the front and an air-conditioned, open family room and dining area beyond, where two glazed doors open onto the back yard.

Built in the late 1980s, it has been stylishly renovated and sports a new kitchen with high-gloss cabinetry in ivory contrasted with smart cherry-red splash-backs and a wall oven.

Wrapping round the side and rear of the house is another inviting living space in a sizeable tiled patio, sheltered from the elements for year-round comfort.

Décor is from a modern neutral palette and attractive timber-look vinyl flooring extends from the family room into the adjacent hallway leading to the bedrooms.

All three bedrooms are big doubles and the master has a walk-in robe, while there’s a walk-in shower and vanity in the nearby bathroom.

Another major attraction is the garage-workshop, reached via an access road at the rear. It has power connected and plenty of space for storage or DIY projects as well as a vehicle and a trailer or dinghy.

Two rainwater tanks, gates for vehicular access to the back yard and a bank of solar panels are other advantages of this neat, versatile property.

Families, singles, couples, investors and professionals will appreciate its many attributes as well as its convenient location in one of the State’s most scenic tourist towns.

Denmark overview

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.

Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
