With riding trails out your front gate, a fully enclosed back yard with big entertaining area all on a delightful approximately 2.3 acres you can sit back and enjoy everything this property has to offer. Boasting 3 bedrooms plus a study, big kitchen with room for your dining table and a living space with a slow combustion fire you are all set. The Jarrah flooring through most of the home is stunning.

The house is set well back on the property which is the perfect spot for the kids to play, we have a circular driveway and single carport. A character cottage front verandah welcomes you to this 1950's built cottage. Enter via the front door to find jarrah flooring to the hallway, and the 3 bedrooms. The large kitchen has loads of bench space and cupboards, plus a modern stove with four burner gas cook top. Picture cottage windows are your outlook from the sink and feature brick surrounds the stove. There is ample space in the kitchen for a dining table. The living space has carpet and a slow combustion fireplace overlooking the enclosed back yard. The bathroom and the toilet are out here too. At the end of the living space is a separate room which would be perfect for a home office or a children's playroom.

The rear patio is a super-size with room for your BBQ, outdoor dining and an outdoor lounge so you can sit back and watch the children play in the back yard. There is also a garden shed for your mower etc and firewood. The laundry is also located out under the back entertaining area. Currently there is a fridge out here also to keep your refreshing beverages and extra food stores cold.

Moving out to the back paddocks, of which there are three, the first paddock houses a four-bay shed, gates enclose the front of the shed so there is ample space to store your toys. Moving to the back paddock, overlooking a large acreage property so you look like you have way more land than you actually do, tucked down here is the chook pen. The third paddock is a smaller paddock for pony confinement if required. The pipeline runs down one side of the property so no neighbours there. Top all this off with scheme water.

With some spit and polish you can put your own mark on this property to create the perfect getaway.

Wundowie overview

The townsite of Wundowie is located in the Darling Range 72 kilometres east northeast of Perth and 31 kilometres west southwest of Northam. It is located adjacent to the original railway track from Perth to Northam, and in 1907 the Railways Department applied for a name for a newly constructed siding at the 53 Mile between Werribee and Karrijine. The name Wundowing was suggested by the Lands Department, and this was shortened to Wundowi by the Surveyor General.

In 1943 the government decided to commence preliminary work for a blast furnace and wood distillation plant at Wundowie, and to develop a townsite for the workers. Following the survey of lots in 1946 the townsite of Wundowie was gazetted in 1947. Wundowie derives its name from Woondowing Spring, an Aboriginal name for a nearby spring first recorded in 1874. The spelling for the siding was changed according to rules for spelling Aboriginal names adopted by the Lands Department. The meaning of the name is not known, but but it has been suggested it may be derived from Ngwundow, meaning "to lie down".
