Constructed in the 1970s, loved through the decades, and now awaiting a new family is this beautiful character home. There's nothing quite as charming as a Darlington home featuring accents of timber, brick, and stone, and this is no exception; discover exposed brick walls and thatched straw ceilings in the living and dining areas, exposed Jarrah beams and rustic floorboards, and a big stone fireplace guaranteed to see you through even the coldest of winter nights.
Enormous windows dominate almost every room of the house, with the result being a feeling of nature and open space. When the weather's inclement you can still enjoy the beautiful garden outlooks, and when it's sunny out you can throw open the windows and doors and let the lovely earthy scents and floral fragrances drift through on the breeze. And, green thumb or not, you'll love nothing more than a stroll through the rambling gardens. If you're lucky you'll spot kangaroos and other local wildlife enjoying them too!

The name "Darlington" is derived from adding the English suffix "ton", meaning "town" to the name of the range in the area - Darling Range which was first named "General Darling Range". The name was first used by Dr Alfred Waylen who established the "Darlington Vineyard" here in 1883-4.
Darlington remains one of the few locations in the Perth hills with an early 20th century village ambience. It is known for its vibrant community with seemingly as many committees and groups as it has residents. The suburb has a local general store however residents rely on the the facilities at Midland and Mundaring which are close by. There are also various primary and secondary schools in the area.
