A hidden gem, filled with modern style and substance.

What we love
Is the tranquil – and slightly-elevated – cul-de-sac setting that this quality 4 bedroom 3 bathroom two-storey home finds itself nestled in, sitting only minutes away from a glorious stretch of surf and sand between Trigg Beach and the wonderful Hillarys Boat Harbour at the very same time. A lovely entry deck is hidden behind manicured gardens and allows you to sit back, relax and take in both the chirping local birdlife and sensual sea breezes before you even step foot inside. A beautifully-tiled front lounge room has its own separate access from the deck – right next to the main entry door – and can easily be utilised as a spacious home office, if need be.

The immaculate floor tiling continues into the airy open-plan family, dining and kitchen area where sparkling stone bench tops, a breakfast bar for casual meals, double sinks, sleek white cabinetry, a stainless-steel dishwasher and excellent range-hood, gas-cooktop and oven appliances complement access into the adjacent laundry. At the rear and beyond sliding-stacker doors within the family room, a delightful outdoor alfresco-entertaining area overlooks a splendid backyard-lawn space that is great for both pets and kids. Upstairs, the headline act is a lovely balcony that benefits from pleasant tree-lined views and can be accessed from a large carpeted master-bedroom suite, comprising of a walk-in wardrobe and a sumptuous fully-tiled ensuite bathroom – twin stone vanities, shower, toilet and all.

What to know
Also on the top floor is a stylish fully-tiled main family bathroom with a generous rain shower, a separate bathtub and a central vanity for pampering. All three spare bedrooms are also carpeted for complete comfort, with the fourth or “guest” bedroom playing host to its very own “third” bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and floor-to-ceiling tiling. Extras include a feature entry door, down lights, ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning, feature “trio” stepped ceiling cornices, skirting boards and a double lock-up garage for good measure.

Only walking distance separates your front doorstep from the Hamersley Public Golf Course, the “Class A” Star Swamp Bushland Reserve, bus stops and quality community sporting facilities at the revamped Charles Riley Memorial Reserve, whilst the likes of North Beach Primary School, Our Lady of Grace Primary School, North Beach Shopping Centre and seaside cafes and restaurants are also within arm’s reach. Throw in a very close proximity to the local tennis and bowling clubs, the iconic Mettams Pool, the exciting Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment (now completed), the prestigious Lake Karrinyup Country Club, new-look Scarborough Beach, St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, the freeway, Stirling Train Station and other top educational facilities and you have yourself the most enviable of coastal locations, that’s for sure. Best of all, it is tucked away where nobody will ever find it.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
