One of Forrestfield's most iconic homes, the Tarata Way A-Frame is now available for sale, and it's an absolute must see for home buyers and architecture enthusiasts alike!
If you're like us and grew up in Forrestfield, the chances are you may have come across this property in your travels. As a young boy I always admired it with a curious fascination from the outside, and I can tell you now that the inside will not disappoint!
Importantly this home offers much more than just its staggering good looks alone. Functionally it is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 storey home with a brilliant backyard. The 700sqm bloc is zoned R20/30 so it is subdivisible too. The street is lovely and you will notice a lot of immaculate gardens in the surrounding homes which is always a great sign.
From upstairs you can see views to the hills from one side and from the other side you can see all the way down Tarata Way to the gum trees of Hicks Street. The home has had many upgrades since the current owner moved in almost 10 years ago, including a gorgeous bathroom renovation, new timbers on the very sturdy staircase, new flooring, patio improvements and much more!
Standing in the front living area and looking up to the apex of the roof is just awe inspiring, similar to the thrill of being in a really beautiful cathedral. But for me the property also triggers memories of weekends away in cabins in the forest down south. I can only imagine how relaxing it must be to slump down on the couch at the end of a hard days work, beer in hand, and just gaze up and admire the gorgeous building you now call home. So much better than average, and 100% worth your time to inspect it as soon as possible. I can just see this one flying out the door as this hectic market heads northward.

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.
Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. The main shopping centre known as the 'Forrestfield Forum and Marketplace' is home to 52 stores. There are a range of other retail establishments scattered throughout the area.
There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
