Style meets simplicity meets sophistication

It’s not just superlatives you’ll be dishing out in this home. This is one for the entertainers, the crowd feeders, and the party havers.

This home is a proper pick ‘n’ mix of all the best elements; add some practicality, security, charm, space, and versatility and you’ve formulated the ideal residence. Phew! What doesn’t this home have? Well for a start it doesn’t have anything needing maintenance or repair. Completely renovated within the last couple of years, it’s fresh as a daisy and twice as pretty. Everything has been done – and done well – with high-quality finishings and appliances rounding out the excellent floorplan that practically begs to be used for birthday bashes, social soirees, and easy Sunday mornings with the family. The luxe kitchen looks over the living and dining area, opening out to the undercover alfresco. You can fit a huge dining table indoors, and an even bigger one outdoors, so invite every woman and her dog around because there’s space for all of them. Looks like Christmas is at yours this year!

Location-wise, you’re only 300m from Sherbert Café, one of our favs. It’s a great way to kick off any expedition into the Maylands social precinct. Where you go next is a real lucky dip, but consider pizza at Amore Mio (650m), shawarma at Rotana (800m), or catching a gig at Lyric’s (850m). Rounding everything out with a bevvie at Volare (400m) or Seasonal Brewing Co (900m) is a real treat. But if you’re keen on getting out amongst it with the dog or just enjoying a peaceful stroll between social engagements, Plowman Reserve (40m) is your easy go-to. Whatever your activity of choice on any given day or night, you’ve probably got it right here. So who are you going to take with you?

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
