On entering the property you will come across the granite cottage, covered in pretty wisteria in the spring, with the granny flat behind. These stone cottages were built using the granite from the Coppin Road quarry. Huge pieces of granite feature in this build and is a testament to wonderful stone masonry and sheer brute strength of the immigrant Italians who built them at the time. The current owners have updated the kitchen to a lovely, modern country look and have chosen to keep “Betty” an original wood burning stove. Crisp white walls, high skirting boards, white washed wooden floors, super high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and generous sized rooms give the cottage that warm and comfortable feeling.
To the right of the front door is the fresh and appealing lounge room with a fire mantle ready for Christmas stockings and a slow combustion fireplace for snuggling up on those chilly winter nights. Through the lounge room you will find the kitchen, laundry, dining room and the large living extension built with French doors that lead out to the gardens and the fabulous outdoor entertaining area complete with pizza oven. Lovely verandahs are an inviting space for a morning cuppa or an evening drink with someone special.
Down the elegant hallway with a beautiful chandelier you will find the three bedrooms, bathroom and linen cupboards. All the rooms have the high ceilings and the wooden floors.
The rambling garden leads you to many surprises in the garden. Lots of little spaces for children or grandchildren to run and play hide-and-seek, to climb a tree, collect eggs, build a cubby or just get lost in their own wonderful imaginative play.
Behind the cottage is the granny flat, a modern build with two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, lounge room and a laundry. A fabulous and comfortable space for the extended family, work from home office, home business, teenage retreat or mancave.
Adjoining the cottage is a double carport. Past the granny flat is the large shed, extra storage attached and a lean to for extra cars. A great space for all your hobbies and a place to tinker.

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
