At last, your home has come along

Your house hunting days are over. And life is like a song. *sing it with me*

Ready to find the one?

This gorgeous circa 1910 Federation home will cast a spell on your heart the moment you step inside. Tuckpointing, high ornate ceilings, warm polished boards, fireplaces - original character heaven. And then there’s the extension. Here you’ll find an additional living or formal dining area, a large family bathroom with a deep clawfoot bath, a separate powder room and laundry, and a beautifully renovated Hamptons style kitchen & meals area with views of the pretty covered alfresco and backyard. Upstairs? That would be the thrilling surprise. An adults retreat with a separate study or decadent dressing room, and ensuite. A place to rest your cheek. Dream of what’s to come. And smile. Did I mention the super cute workshop? Ohh yeah, yeah.

Location wise it’s the trifecta of school zones, transport and social precincts. Inglewood Primary and Mount Lawley Senior High School catchments. Maylands train station a mere 200m stroll. If you make it past Brixton Yard (coffee and brekky in the am, burgers & cocktails pm), you’ve got the delights of Whatley Cres and Eighth Ave to explore. Or wander 750 west and sample the eclectic mix of eating, drinking and shopping options along Beaufort Street. Popular Shearn Park is just around the corner if you’ve got a doggo, and you’re only 450m from the Mount Lawley border. Near-city homestyle & lifestyle in a gorgeous, green titled, feature-filled package. *sigh*

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
