What a fantastic place to call home, or to create your own private Margaret River getaway. Set across just under 20 hectares (approximately 47.5 acres), Lot 1001 Wickham Road presents a rare opportunity to secure a substantial parcel of rural land in a peaceful and picturesque setting.

With no services currently connected to the Lot, this property could be the perfect opportunity for those wanting to embrace an independent off-grid lifestyle and create a home designed around self-sufficiency, privacy and country living.

Peaceful Country Living

Tucked away in a whisper-quiet location with a picturesque outlook, you could easily be mistaken for being miles away from everything. The tranquillity and sense of space are immediate, with plenty of room to enjoy the freedom that comes with owning a substantial rural property.

With almost 20 hectares at your disposal, there is ample opportunity to establish gardens, grow fruit trees and vegetables, keep a horse or two, or simply enjoy having plenty of room to explore and unwind.

The land is zoned Priority Agriculture, providing a rural setting with plenty of potential for those looking to embrace a more self-sufficient country lifestyle, subject to the relevant planning requirements and approvals.

Create Your Dream Property

For those dreaming of building their own home, this is an exciting blank canvas. Imagine designing your ideal country residence, complemented by a substantial shed for all the big boys' toys, vehicles, machinery and equipment.

The absence of connected services may appeal to buyers wanting to create a truly independent property, with the potential to consider solar power, water storage and other off-grid systems when planning their future home, subject to the relevant approvals and requirements.

With so much space available, there is plenty of scope to create a property that reflects your lifestyle — whether that means productive gardens, paddocks, hobby farming, horses, a workshop or simply enjoying the peace and privacy of your own rural sanctuary.

Witchcliffe overview

The townsite of Witchcliffe is located in the south west agricultural region, 286 kilometres south southwest of Perth and nine kilometres south of Margaret River. In 1924 the government extended the railway to Witchcliffe, and at first selected the name Newralingup for the siding, but the name Narawary was approved. However, a Post Office named Witchcliffe had already been opened when the railway siding was named, and Narawary siding was renamed Witchcliffe in February 1925. Also in 1924 interest was shown in blocks of land at Witchcliffe Siding, and after investigation a scheme of subdivision was planned, lots surveyed, and a townsite gazetted in 1926.

The name Witchcliffe was first used in this district for Witchliffe Cave, the name being recorded by a surveyor in 1900. The name was probably given by the Bussell family who settled near here in the 1850's, naming their property "Wallcliffe House". Both the homestead and the cave are in an area of coastal cliffs, hence the "cliffe" part of the name.
